The Incredibles 3 Speaking at D23 (via Deadline), Pixar’s Pete Docter revealed the third Incredibles movie will largely focus on Dash, Violet, and Jack Jack.

New Marvel Rides in 2028 Disney doesn’t always like to put numbers on these updates until it’s good and ready, and now it’s good and ready with two new Avengers Campus rides coming to Disney’s California Adventure. Both Avengers: Infinity Defense and the Stark Flight Lab will open in 2028, and it was revealed that several actors from the films are along for the ride.

The pre-mission briefing will come from Ms Marvel (Iman Vellani), with Jeremy Renner also returning as Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. You’ll be a new recruit tasked with assembling the Avengers and stopping King Thanos.

Over at the Stark Flight Lab, Downey will be a part of it, joined by Mackie and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. There are also some insane looking Marvel attractions coming to Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disney, and more. You can get more info about all of them here.

A New Tomorrowland Tomorrowland has had some tweaks in recent years, but nothing major. Apparently, something major is on the way, we just don’t know what. According to Disney, that transformation will “honor the legacy of the original land while reimagining its future. Disneyland Resort will strive to preserve what guests cherish most, while also introducing new experiences and possibilities for the next generation of fans.”

The rides and story of Villain’s Land Last D23 had a big, final reveal of Disney adding a villain-focused area into the Magic Kingdom at Orlando’s Walt Disney World. This year, we learned that it’s officially called “Villain’s Land,” and it’ll have two rides.

The first of the two attractions revealed will be a roller coaster that takes guests through Maleficent’s fortress, while the other will be a dark boat ride through the other side of the glass of the magic mirror.

It’s “a bold new take on Space Mountain,” said Disney Imagineer Ali Rubenstein. “You’ll board a rocket that literally blasts into space … Earthrise is a celebration of what makes our planet so beautiful.” Spaceship Earth at Epcot will be brought “into the present day and beyond … A journey through time celebrating the progress made possible through human connection.” Imagineers are finally fixing Disco Yeti on Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, replacing him with a new animatronic. (Disney brought Gloria Gaynor, the queen of disco, out on stage to sing I Will Survive as a farewell to Disco Yeti.) At Disneyland Paris, the first-ever Lion King ride is being built. It’ll be a retelling of the original movie, and you’ll travel through Simba’s journey by boat.

Whether that means mutants aren’t around because most of them are on an island (Krakoa or not), Schreier’s comments shed a bit more light on what to expect before X-Men comes to theaters on May 5, 2028. Like he said, there’s “so many stories that are still untold to honor and reach into.” Hopefully that means he’s fully serious about not just playing the hits and trying to get the Phoenix Saga right again.

Lilo and Stitch 2: live action Following the release of the live-action version of Lilo and Stitch, Disney has decided to continue by adapting the animated sequel into the live format. Lilo and Stitch 2 includes Angel, the pink, female version of the outer-space monster who debuted in the animated Lilo & Stitch: The Series.

And speaking of the games, Disney also used its presentation to release a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV. The new game sees Sora in the real world (or “Quadratum”) fighting Heartless that’ve invaded while Donald and Goofy try to rescue him. Like the earlier entries, players will travel to Disney worlds throughout the game, one of which will be Coco—which, as it happens, had a preview of its sequel play before this show was announced.

Per the official premise: Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.

The trailer opens with a shot of the northern lights where a snowflake falls and turns into a butterfly that flies to Arendelle Castle. It collides with Elsa during Anna and Kristoff’s wedding, and a portal opens. They step through it, finding an icy world filled with butterflies and an as yet faceless new villain with dark hair who has been looking for Elsa.

For Coco 2, we learned that it takes place a few years later. Miguel is now a teenager and will travel back to the Land of the Dead to team up with Ernesto for another adventure. Lee Unkrich returns to direct.

Homer is at the Isotopes game and wants to catch a historic home run that will make him rich. “Make Homer rich,” he chants. The batter hits one towards Homer but Hans Moleman catches it. Then Homer jumps on him. The ball then pops out and basically makes it through all of Springfield, hitting every character and landmark before landing right back at the stadium. Bart gets it. “D’oh.”

At D23, when asked about the potential for a sequel to the cult classic The Simpsons: Hit & Run game, Matt Groening replied, “I think the original game is coming back in some form,” before current showrunner Matt Selman added, “or not.” The tone in both of their voices and the body language suggests that Groening may have just revealed something he wasn’t supposed to.

The original title came out way back in 2003 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and Windows. While it’s possible to get the game up and running on modern computers, it’s not available on modern consoles. It’s currently not in the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog or on the Xbox backward compatibility list. It’s possible that the game could simply return that way, as a direct port. But a more interesting possibility is a full HD remaster. They wouldn’t even need to rerecord the voice acting since the original cast absolutely nailed it the first time around. Alright, mindless drones, return to your ugly families.

The next Fortnite tie-in is here, and it’s connected with a real-world experience: jump on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride at either Disneyland or Disney World starting from Sunday, and you’ll earn exclusive in-game extras.

“Smugglers Gambit, built in-house by an incredibly talented team, is an immersive, high-quality game,” said Sean Shoptaw, EVP of Disney Games and Digital Entertainment. “These experiences reflect our ambition to connect stories and worlds across formats into one converged entertainment ecosystem.”

It’ll have co-op missions, quests, class choices, leveling up and new gear available to unlock. You’ll be battling pirates, as well as “Imperial remnants and dangerous wildlife.”

The Millennium Falcon ride opened at Disneyland and Disney World with the launch of the Star Wars-themed areas in 2019. It allows six people to ride inside a cockpit replica of Han Solo’s famous spaceship, with two people serving as pilots, two as gunners and two as engineers to steer the ship, blast enemies away and repair any damage received to the ship during the flight, respectively.

It’s a flight simulator, so you watch a screen take you through one of several scenarios (the latest Mandalorian-themed missions just launched to tie in with the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu in cinemas in May) while the ride vehicle moves in tandem, and you use physical controls to interact with and affect the flight.

The cockpit technology was built on Unreal Engine 5 and developed by Walt Disney Imagineering together with Industrial Light & Magic, the famed visual effects studio founded by Star Wars creator George Lucas in the 1970s.

Smugglers Gambit was similarly built with Imagineering, Lucasfilm and Disney Games, expanding the story of Hondo Ohnaka, the pirate, smuggler and eventual Resistance ally based at the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. Ohnaka first appeared in the Clone Wars TV show, but is best known as a shady ally of the protagonists in the follow-up cartoon series, Rebels.

“Building on Epic’s technology, Disney’s Imagineers are shaping the future of interactive entertainment, where an experience goes from the physical world into Fortnite,” said Epic Games President Adam Sussman.

“The seamless link between Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Smugglers Gambit … (is) a groundbreaking example of how stories can flow across screens, theme park rides and games,” said James Waugh, Senior Vice President, Franchise Story & Creative Strategy, Lucasfilm.
