  1. After multiple delays, GTA 6 is expected to release on November 19, 2026. On Thursday, Netflix will air an extended look at the game, which could perhaps answer some questions about the legitimacy of various leaks.

GTA 6 is slated to arrive on November 19. Rockstar will give fans a clearer picture of what the game is all about with a deep dive that will initially stream on Netflix on August 27 before hitting YouTube several hours later. The publisher said it took longer than it hoped to prepare this "extended look" but was aware it needed to exceed fans' expectations.

  2. There’s a reason for all this history: Commodore has just announced a brand collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED, the studio behind Cyberpunk 2077. And look, brand crossovers are dime-a-dozen, and we’re not generally given to gushing over them, but… a reissued Commodore 64, rebranded as the Commodore 77? There’s both plenty of historical sense behind the idea—as we’ve just seen—but more to the point, the thing just looks awesome. I mean, come on, it even uses a Cyberpunk 2077-themed font for its BASIC interface.

I have no cause to use one, but I want one. If there's one company whose vibe totally meshes with the world of Cyberpunk 2077, it's that of Commodore. The home computing pioneer's boxy machines surely inspired the cyberdecks used by all good netrunners back in the day. It's why this tie-up between the new Commodore and CD Projekt Red (CDPR) makes as much sense now as it would have done in 1984... or 2077.

  3. Rockstar's full statement is below: Dear all, We know that many of you have been waiting to hear from us regarding the events of the past week. It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time. We are very sorry that everything has taken as long as it has — from getting the game finished (nearly there!) to sharing more details and official gameplay, and providing the community with everything you want to know.

  1. 01 TechCrunch

In the long wait for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI, an open-world game about crime, some in the gaming community are being targeted by cybercriminals in the real world.

  2. 02 Gizmodo

The dominant microcomputer of the era was the Commodore 64, released in early 1982, on which those of your correspondent’s vintage whiled away many happy hours playing classics like Paradroid, Elite, Archon, and … Neuromancer, a hugely underappreciated game based on Gibson’s novel. That game probably deserves a post of its own, but the tl;dr is that it was “produced” by LSD evangelist Timothy Leary, who had the (possibly psychedelic-assisted) foresight to commission a game based on the book, and was developed by Interplay, the 1980s powerhouse that was responsible for Wasteland and the Bard’s Tale series and probably also deserves its own post.

  3. 03 Engadget

While practically every other developer and publisher under the sun has been trying to give Grand Theft Auto 6 as wide a berth as possible, Devolver Digital is going in the other direction. The publisher has long claimed it would release a game on the same day as Rockstar's looming colossus, and it finally has revealed more details.

  4. 04 The Verge

We want to thank everyone in the community who has reached out with messages of support this past week - your words have meant more to this team than you can imagine. Ultimately, we are making this game for you, and without you, we would not have the privilege of making games.
