Jeremiyah Love, Cardinals The top player off your rookie draft boards is also hurt at the moment. Love suffered a high-ankle sprain in the first preseason game. His outlook for Week 1 is in doubt and I’d expect the team to try to get him as close to 100% as possible before getting their prize rookie out there again. Depending on the severity, high-ankle sprains can really sap the life out of a player for an extended amount of time. Love’s ability is worth drafting for sure, but we should be wary.

Jordyn Tyson, Saints The hype train out of Saints camp for the rookie Tyson was chugging away at full tilt this preseason, that is, until he suffered yet another hamstring injury. His history with injuries is truly scary for anyone drafting him. We’ll see if he ends up on the PUP list or not to start the season, but it looks like he’s out for Week 1 at least. I really like Kellen Moore and this Saints offense, but this does hurt them a bit.
-
Wide Receivers Luther Burden, Bears Burden is poised for a breakout season, but he’s been slowed down by a groin strain in training camp. At this point I’m not overly worried, but keep an eye on reports ahead of your draft. As of now, I’m still prioritizing him in my drafts. The Bears defense should be not great, while their offense should again take a step forward under Ben Johnson. All of their skill players are worth a second look this season.

Welcome to the 2026 fantasy football PPR draft rankings! The last couple years have been great for early round running backs, as injuries haven’t been as devastating as previous seasons. Are we back to drafting running backs early? I just think we might be. Much depends on your draft spot and who was taken ahead of you, but I’m wanting at least one stud running back in my first two picks and I’m not afraid of going with back-to-back backs to start this season.

Zach Charbonnet, Seahawks Charbonnet played well last year, but also tore his ACL in the playoffs. The Seahawks let Kenneth Walker go to the Chiefs and then drafted Jadarian Price with the 32nd pick overall. Charbonnet has reportedly been ahead of schedule in his recovery, but it would be surprising if he didn’t go on the PUP list to start the season. His likely absence should give Price a chance to prove himself early on.
-
Quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs Mahomes tore his ACL in December last season, which means he hasn’t had a ton of time to heal. But, he was cleared for training camp and has been practicing fully. At this point there’s no doubt he’ll play in Week 1. It appears he will wear a brace, so we can’t expect him to run like he did last season, which will hamper his fantasy numbers. At this point, Mahomes isn’t a strong fantasy pick, but if they can ever get things going again, we know what he’s capable of. A

01 CBS Sports Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins running back De'Von Achane would comfortably outperform his ADP (RB12). The result: Achane produced 1,838 scrimmage yards -- sixth most in the NFL -- to go along with 12 touchdowns. SportsLine's model slotted Achane as the RB6, and that's precisely what he finished as, ranking sixth among RBs in Fantasy points in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

02 SB Nation Hello all! Fantasy football is back for yet another year! Can you believe it? The NFL has been given the go-ahead for another season! This plucky upstart of a league may just make it after all. And as long as the NFL is still churning out football games, I’ll have my drafting tiers for all of you fake footballers. There is plenty of drafting software out there now that can help when you sit down to pick your team, but will they be FREE like my tiers? Will they! No. They probably won’t.
